what should a java plugin exactly do? And for which page?
Pages with java content can ususally be checked with the check-by-screenshot method.

I’ll try to improve that in the next version. For now, you have to select the correct “places.sqlite” location in the program configuration.

Hi,

I just installed AM-DL 4.1 beta 2, it did not correctly found my Firefox 3 profile. My profile is at a custom location. OS is Windows XP.

Here is my “C:\Documents and Settings\OuT\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\profile.ini” :
[General]
StartWithLastProfile=1
[Profile0]
Name=Default User
IsRelative=0
Path=E:\Something\MyFirefoxProfile
Default=1

so my bookmark file is “E:\Something\MyFirefoxProfile\places.sqlite”

instead, AM-DL used “C:\Documents and Settings\OuT\.netbeans\6.8\var\cache\mozillaprofilev1\places.sqlite” (I use Netbeans with a plugin which embed a Gecko engine)

I think AM-DL currently guess profile location by doing some search inside the Windows user profile, like “match on first places.sqlite found”

It could be interesting and more robust to instead look for default profile location inside “Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\profile.ini”

This is indeed an awesome feature. Just a minor correction though, the new column is named “Added” instead of “Created” (well, at least on my machine).

Ah, ok thanks.

Just thought that sending page as a screenshot (PNG) was a nice touch and in some ways more friendly to mobile devices like iphone.

Making a screenshot requires that the page is opened and displayed in a browser window.

The “Send by e-mail” feature in the internal browser can make a screenshot in PNG format from the already rendered page (since it has been opened).

The bookmark action “Send e-mail” generates the e-mails directly from the HTML files, they are not opened in a browser window before.

Hi Martin,

Sorry if it was been asked or answered before. Just renewed my subscription and updated to the latest yesterday and been catching up on the new features.

How come we have a selection to send currently opened page as screenshot (PNG), but only have selections of HTML or text/plain in Actions->Send-email inside bookmark properties?

if you add the URL from the RSS feed directly, then it works independently from the browser.
