We’re happy to announce a first beta of AM-DeadLink 4.0.
Major new features in that version are full Unicode support and Google Chrome support. Regarding Google Chrome, AM-DeadLink is able to check dead links and duplicates, FavIcons are not supported.
This version is also compatible to Opera 10 FavIcons, the previous version (AM-DeadLink 3.3) was only able to download Opera 9 FavIcons.
AM-DeadLink 4.0 Beta-1 can be downloaded from the Beta Section.
Still no direct support for Firefox 3.x?
no, still no plans to hack into foreign databases. Only browsers that save their bookmarks in a readable plain text format are supported.
Hi Martin,
what do you think about CheckPlaces: http://www.andyhalford.com/checkplaces/ ?
After updating to FF 3, I missed the functions of AM-Deadlink alot.
CheckPlaces works as an FF addon. And it works very smooth for me.

Although I haven’t tried it myself yet, I think that it’s great that there is a native solution available for FF3
Kudos 2 U!
Just give it a try! I use it since 6 month one time a week and I´ve got no problems or data loss.
Thank you for now supporting Opera 10! I was missing AM-DeadLink!
Will favicon support be added for Chrome, or is that not possible? Chrome has a real issue with blank favicons for sites that were not hit.
I don’t think that FavIcon support will be possible for Chrome. Until now I could not figure out how they save their FavIcons.
I mistakenly used AM-Deadlink 3.3 to verify a list of Favorites for Internet Explorer 8 in Win Windows 7 (x64).
Since I use Mozilla Firefox 3.6 as my main browser ( and have added site while using it, how may I import and check (merge) the old (albeit, corrected) Sites list with the newer Non-checked Bookmarked Sites in Mozilla Firefox 3.7?
I found Columbine Bookmark Merge 3.3, but that thing is so old it gives me the creeps.
Thanks for reading this!!! LOVE AM DEAD LINK.
